How To: Install .ipa Files on Your iPhone or iPodTouch with 3.0 Firmware
26/06/2009

Now that the 3.0 firmware has successfully been jailbroken for a few days, many people will be wanting to install .ipa files on their device. The .ipa format is that used for applications you’ll download from the AppStore, or make using Xcode.
Here’s the quick step-by-step:
- Ensure you have already jailbroken your device. If you haven’t, you can learn how to here.
- Open Cydia, click on “manage” and then click on “sources”. Add the following source: http://cydia.hackulo.us
- Go back and search for “AppSync”. Download and install.
- Restart your device.
You should now be able to open your .ipa files using iTunes and select them to sync with your device.
If you have any problems, just leave a comment and we’ll do our best to help you out.
PLEASE NOTE: You do this at your own risk and any damage done is your own fault. I recommend you backup your device before doing anything because you never know what can happen.
